Does anyone know where I can actually find decent deals on mirrorless cameras right now without getting scammed? Im losing my mind looking at prices online.

So here is the deal, I am finally ready to upgrade my ancient DSLR because I have a trip to Japan coming up in mid-October and I really want something lighter to carry around all day. I have about 1500 bucks saved up for the body and a decent kit lens. Ive been staring at these two options for weeks now: the Fujifilm X-T5 and the Sony a6700. I think I am leaning toward the Fuji because I love the dials and the film simulations but then I see the autofocus specs on the Sony and get nervous about missing shots of the busy streets in Tokyo. Its stressing me out.

Most of the big sites like B&H or Adorama seem to have the same prices everywhere, which is kind of annoying. Are there any reliable places to look for refurbished gear that wont fall apart after a month? I keep seeing these sketchy websites offering like 30 percent off and I know its too good to be true but its hard not to look. I also checked FB Marketplace but people in my city are asking basically retail prices for used gear that looks like it went through a war zone.

Should I just bite the bullet and pay full price at a major retailer to get the warranty or is there some secret sales event or reputable outlet Im missing? Im worried if I wait too long for a sale the shipping wont get here before my flight leaves on the 14th. If anyone has experience with buying from the manufacturers refurbished store or a specific camera shop that actually discounts stuff, please let me know. Really stuck on whether the Fuji or Sony is the better bet for street photography too if anyone has thoughts on that...

Check out KEH Camera or MPB. They grade their gear super strictly. Had issues with random sellers, so grabbing a Fujifilm X-T5 40.2MP Mirrorless Camera there is much safer for Tokyo.

Honestly, skip those sketchy sites! You gotta check the official Fujifilm X-T5 Mirrorless Camera 40MP APS-C Sensor refurbished section or B&H used department. For Tokyo, that Fuji is amazing for street shots because the colors are fantastic right out of the camera. The Sony a6700 Mirrorless Camera 26MP APS-C Sensor autofocus is technically faster, but the Fuji experience is just way more fun! Go for the warranty and save yourself the stress before your trip!
