Does anyone know where I can actually find decent deals on mirrorless cameras right now because it feels like everything is full price everywhere I look? Im looking to upgrade my setup before I head to Iceland in about six weeks, so the timeline is getting a bit tight. My budget is around 1500 bucks all in for the body and a decent kit lens.
Im currently torn between the Sony a6400 and the Fujifilm X-S10. I really like the Fuji film simulations because I dont wanna spend hours editing raw files, but the Sony ecosystem seems way easier to find used lenses for, which might save me cash in the long run. Ive been checking the usual spots like B&H and Adorama but the prices are just hovering at MSRP. Is it even worth waiting for a random sale or should I just bite the bullet and buy used on MPB or KEH? Trying to decide if the weather sealing on the Fuji is worth the extra cost or if I should just grab the Sony and call it a day...
Honestly, buying new right now is such a headache with those fixed prices! If you want to hit that budget, definitely skip the retail giants and go straight to MPB or KEH. I've snagged some fantastic gear there for way less than MSRP. For Iceland, you really want that weather sealing, so the Fujifilm X-S10 26.1MP Mirrorless Camera is a total winner. Those film simulations look amazing straight out of camera, which saves so much time. If you go with the Sony Alpha a6400 24.2MP Mirrorless Camera, it is a solid workhorse, but you might miss those Fuji colors. Since you're heading to such a stunning place, definitely grab a used body and put the extra cash toward a decent weather-sealed lens. You're gonna have an incredible time!
