Recommendation for the best landscape lens for Fujifilm X-H2S?

I just got an X-H2S for my trip to the Canadian Rockies next month but honestly I have no idea what I am doing. I see all these different numbers like 10-24 or 16-55 and it is super confusing for a beginner like me.

I have about 800 bucks left to spend. What lens is best for those big mountain landscape shots?

@Reply #1 - good point on the hiking weight! Before you drop all that cash though, do you think you'll want to shoot at night too, like the Milky Way? Or is this strictly daytime? If you want to save some serious money, I've been super happy with the Samyang 12mm f/2.0 NCS CS. No complaints at all and it's dirt cheap, leaving you budget for a decent tripod.

I went through this exact phase when I started shooting in the Rockies years ago! I quickly learned that weather sealing is absolutely critical because mountain storms roll in fast. For reliability in the wet, I love the Tamron 11-20mm f/2.8 Di III-A RXD for Fujifilm X because it has amazing moisture resistance. The Sigma 10-18mm f/2.8 DC DN Contemporary for Fujifilm X is also fantastic and super compact, but it feels slightly less rugged for heavy backcountry use.

Just saw this thread. To give you the best advice, are you planning on doing long hikes where weight matters, or will you be shooting mostly near the car?
