Can you suggest some lenses for my new gfx100 II?
Following
Man I wish I found this thread sooner. Would have saved me so much hassle.
Here are some of the best G-mount lenses to pair with it:
Standard Zoom
- Fujifilm GF 32-64mm f/4 R LM WR - A versatile standard zoom covering wide to short telephoto focal lengths. Sharp optics and weather-resistant build.
Wide-Angle
- Fujifilm GF 23mm f/4 R LM WR - A high-quality wide-angle prime lens. Great for landscapes, architecture and environmental portraits.
- Fujifilm GF 30mm f/3.5 R WR - Lightweight and compact wide-angle lens. Ideal for street photography and travel.
Portrait
- Fujifilm GF 110mm f/2 R LM WR - A stellar short telephoto prime for portraits. Extremely sharp with beautiful bokeh and weather-sealing.
- Fujifilm GF 80mm f/1.7 R WR - The fastest G-mount lens available. Perfect for low-light shooting and shallow depth-of-field portraits.
Macro
- Fujifilm GF 120mm f/4 Macro R LM OIS WR - A 1:2 macro lens with image stabilization. Also works well as a short telephoto for portraits and still life.
The ideal lens choices depend on your preferred shooting style and subject matter. But you can't go wrong with any of Fuji's high-quality G-mount glass. The GF lenses deliver exceptional sharpness, color rendering and build quality to take full advantage of the GFX 100S II's 102 MP sensor.
When selecting lenses for your GFX 100 II, consider your specific photography needs, whether they be landscape, portrait, macro, or general-purpose, to find the most suitable option. Here are some recommended lenses:

-

-
Fujifilm GF 45-100mm f/4 R LM OIS WR - A flexible zoom lens that spans a range ideal for various types of photography, providing a balance between reach and portability.Â
^ This. Also, honestly im a bit disappointed by how much weight you have to lug around for some of the native glass. I tried the Fujifilm GF 63mm f/2.8 R WR and the autofocus was way noisier than I expected for such a high-end body... it was a real letdown for the price. Heres a quick recap of what everyone else suggested so far:
- Wide primes like the 23mm and 30mm
- The 32-64mm zoom for general use
- Specialized portrait and macro glass A couple quick tips while I have a sec:
- If you want a compact setup, the Fujifilm GF 50mm f/3.5 R LM WR is the best bet, tho the f/3.5 is kind of a bummer for interiors.
- Check out the Mitakon Speedmaster 65mm f/1.4 if you can handle manual focus. Its much more budget-friendly than Fuji stuff and the rendering is beautiful. Let me know if you want to hear more about adapting vintage lenses, its a great way to save cash!
I use GF 32-64mm f/4 R LM WR for the most time for my GFX100S, a great lens.
