Just picked up an X-T5 and I am totally lost on glass. I saw people swearing by the 18-55mm kit lens because of the size, but then others say the 16-80mm is way better for travel. Im mostly gonna use it for street photography and hiking trips around the PNW so weight matters. My budget is around 800 bucks, maybe a little more if its worth it. I need something that wont feel like a brick on the camera all day. Is the 18-55 actually sharp enough for the 40mp sensor or should I look for something else? Really dont want to make a mistake here.
The 40mp sensor on the X-T5 is pretty demanding, so if you want to push that resolution, the Fujifilm XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR is objectively sharper but definitely heavy for hiking.
