What lens is the best one for taking pictures of people and streets with my new Fujifilm X-Pro3? Sorry if this is a really basic question but I just got this camera for my birthday and I have literally no idea where to start because all the numbers like 23mm or 35mm are just super confusing to me right now. I want to start walking around downtown Chicago this weekend to practice but I only have the body right now and no lens at all. My budget is probably around 500 dollars or maybe a bit more if its worth it. Should I get a wide one or a zoomed in one? I just want that classic look I see on instagram...

I think you might want to consider a 35mm focal length for that classic look. Not 100% sure but I recall people saying it's easier to learn on than wider glass.

  • Be careful with really wide lenses, they can be kinda tricky to compose.
  • Make sure to get something compact so you actually want to carry it around Chicago.
  • Heavy stuff should probably be avoided for now while you're learning.
