So I finally bit the bullet and grabbed an S5II last month but I'm still rocking the kit lens and I really need something better before my trip to Osaka in three weeks. I'm trying to find that one goldilocks lens that stays on the camera 90% of the time because my wife gets so annoyed when I stop every ten minutes to swap glass and honestly I dont blame her.

Ive been looking really hard at the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art because everyone says the sharpness is incredible but it looks like a total brick and I'm worried about my neck after eight hours of walking. Then there is the newer Panasonic 28-200mm which is super tempting for the reach but I'm scared I'll miss that f/2.8 aperture when we're doing dinner shots or hitting the neon streets at night. I also saw the Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 Contemporary which is way lighter and cheaper - leaves me more money for ramen lol - but is the 28mm wide enough? I feel like I might miss that extra 4mm on the wide end for architecture stuff.

Budget is around 1100 or 1200 bucks tops so the Leica glass is totally out of the question haha. If you had to pick just one for a mix of street, food, and some landscape which way would you go...
