I finally saved up for the Lumix S5II but now I am staring at all these lenses and I have no idea where to start. I really want to take those photos of my kids where the background is super blurry but the person is sharp... I think they call that bokeh?
Sorry if this is a basic question but I am totally new to this. I have about $600 to spend and we are going to Colorado next month so I want to practice before then. People keep saying get a prime lens but I dont know which one actually fits this camera or which number is best for faces. Which prime lens should I buy for portraits?
I've been using the Panasonic LUMIX S 85mm f/1.8 for a while and I am so happy with it. It's a safe choice for those blurry backgrounds youre after. No complaints here.
- 85mm is a great number for portraits.
- Native glass means the autofocus works perfectly for kids.
- It fits your $600 budget. Youll definitely be satisfied with the shots youre gonna get in Colorado.
