Im looking for a solid all-around lens for my Nikon D7500. Ive been reading about the 18-140mm kit lens vs the Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 but im worried the Sigma lacks reach and the Nikon is too slow indoors.
My constraints are:
- Budget: around 400 bucks
- Use case: casual street and occasional travel
- Preference: sharp, decent low light
Really struggling to pick one that wont break the bank before my trip in July...
Ever considered the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 16-80mm f/2.8-4E ED VR? It covers that middle ground perfectly, but what is the exact type of travel you're doing in July?

Honestly, skip the kit lens. I had issues with sharpness on the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR and it struggles way too much when the sun goes down. It is sharp as a tack and handles low light perfectly.
