Ive been shooting on Sony bodies for like five years now and I'm honestly so sick of swapping primes when I'm out doing street photography and landscape stuff in Chicago. I know physics usually ruins do-it-all lenses but has anyone actually found a single zoom that covers wide to telephoto without totally destroying image quality or weighing a literal ton...
TL;DR: No single lens does it all without heavy compromises. Unfortunately, when I tested the Tamron 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD, the edge sharpness at the wide end was pretty disappointing and corner distortion was rough. If you want to save some cash and keep weight down without breaking the bank, grab a used Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS instead. Hit me up if you want to chat more gear deals!
