Need a solid do-it-all lens for my A7III before my Italy trip next month. I saw the Sony 24-105 is popular but people say its kinda old and the f4 might suck at night.

  • Budget: under $900
  • Use: street and travel
  • Must be sharp

Is there anything better than the Tamron 28-75 G2?

For safety, the Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS is a better investment for travel. Its quite sharp and you can save money by grabbing a used one for under $800. The stabilization makes up for the f/4 aperture.
