What prime lens should I buy for street photography on my new Sony Alpha a6000? Sorry if this is a totally dumb question but Im super new to this and I have no idea where to start. Ive been using the kit lens but it just feels kinda blurry in low light. I really need to pick something up before my trip to Chicago next weekend so I need to order it soon. My budget is around 300 bucks, maybe 400 if I really have to. Is the 35mm f1.8 worth it or should I go cheaper? Im just trying to take cool candid shots without carrying around a huge camera. Does anyone have any advice for a beginner like me?

@Reply #2 - good point! Honestly, if you want something even cheaper, the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary is a steal used. Are you wanting to capture wider cityscapes or portraits?
The kit lens definitely struggles in low light, so you are on the right track looking for a prime! Personally, I love shooting wide open for that buttery background blur. Before you pull the trigger, are you planning on shooting mostly wide street scenes or do you prefer getting closer for portraits? Also, do you find yourself wanting a bit more reach or are you comfortable with a wider field of view?
