Tokina has just officially announced the new Tokina ATX-I 11-16mm F2.8 CF Lens for Canon EF and Nikon F mounts.
This new lens is expect to be released on November 8, 2019. The suggested retail price is 56,000 yen (excluding tax).
Atx-i is a new series created by Tokina. “i” means interactive (two-way dialogue between the photographer and the lens). The atx-i is a lens series that picks up a unique model from the AT-X series and reviews the appearance, performance, and price to fit the latest DSLR lens.
Tokina’s original WR coat (coating with excellent water and oil repellency) is applied to the front of the lens, making it easy to wipe off fingerprints and oil stains.
A P-MO aspherical lens is placed in the front group and a glass mold aspherical lens is placed in the rear group to ideally correct distortion and aberrations. In addition, two SD (ultra-low dispersion) glass “FK03” is used to eliminate chromatic aberration.
The AF control sensor is equipped with a high-resolution GMR sensor to achieve fast AF speed with high-precision focus control.
Equipped with a one-touch focus clutch mechanism. The focus ring does not rotate during AF.
Designed to match the rotation direction of the focus ring with that of Nikon and Canon genuine lenses.
