Im losing my mind trying to pick the Best all-around lens for Canon EOS R5 Mark II. I read that the 24-70mm f2.8 is the holy grail for walkaround stuff, but others say primes are the only way to do that sensor justice. Im heading to Japan next month and need something versatile. Here is my deal:

  • Budget is around $2500 max
  • Mostly street photography and some low light temple shots
  • Needs weather sealing because Tokyo weather is unpredictable

What are you guys actually using on yours?

Get the Canon RF 24-70mm f 2.8L IS USM immediately! That sensor needs resolution and micro-contrast, which this glass delivers effortlessly.

  • Sharpness is absolute stellar across the frame
  • Image stabilization saves you in dark temples
  • Weather sealing handles Tokyo rain easily Primes are great lab tests, but missing shots changing lenses in crowds sucks. Trust me, this combo rules.
