So I finally pulled the trigger on an R7 for my trip to Japan next month and while the 18-150mm kit lens is okay for daytime stuff it just feels way too bulky for walking around all day in the heat. I really want something small that doesnt make me look like a pro photographer or a tourist with a giant setup. I started looking into primes and I keep seeing people recommend the RF 35mm f1.8 because it has image stabilization and that macro feature but since the R7 is a crop sensor wouldnt that make it like a 56mm equivalent? Im worried thats gonna be way too zoomed in for tight alleyways and crowded street stuff. Then I saw the 28mm f2.8 pancake lens which looks perfect for keeping the kit light but some reviews say it gets a bit soft on the R7s high megapixel sensor and I dont know if f2.8 is gonna cut it when the sun goes down in the city. Budget is around 400-500 bucks max so I cant go buying those crazy L series lenses lol. Does anybody here actually use the R7 for street? Is there a hidden gem I missed or should I just stick with the 28mm and hope for the best...
