What is the best all-around lens for the Canon EOS R5 Mark II?

Ive been shooting with the R5 for years now and honestly, the upgrade to the Mark II has been wild with that new sensor readout speed. I usually rock the RF 24-70mm f/2.8 but after a recent trip to the PNW for some landscape work, I felt like I was constantly swapping glass way too much. I dont know, maybe I'm just getting lazy or maybe my back is finally starting to give out from carrying the full prime kit everywhere. I have a wedding shoot coming up in Philly next month and I really want to slim down my bag without sacrificing that crispness I get from the L-series primes.

Im trying to figure out if I should just stick to the 24-70 or if there is something else that plays nicer with the new AF system. Budget isnt super tight, but I dont want to drop 4k on something that ends up being redundant. Does anyone have a go-to all-rounder that actually holds up to the resolution on the Mark II? Is the 24-105 f/2.8 worth the extra weight or am I gonna miss the f/2.8 speed on the 24-70...

Building on the earlier suggestion, I personally love the Canon RF 28-70mm f/2 L USM for that prime-like sharpness! It beats carrying a bag full of primes, honestly it is incredible.

Honestly, just grab the Canon RF 24-105mm f/2.8 L IS USM Z. It is a beast but the extra reach is a lifesaver for weddings. You lose a tiny bit of portability, but having that constant aperture without switching lenses is worth it. If you want something lighter, stick to your Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM. The zoom range on the 24-105 is just way more versatile for run-and-gun work.

Stick with your Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8 L IS USM! It is the safest choice for weddings. Keep your kit light and rely on the R5 II sensor resolution for cropping.
