whats the best zoom lens for my canon rebel that can just do everything? i just got it for my birthday and i am so excited but i have no clue where to start really.
im going to a wedding in seattle next week and only have $300 for a better lens than the box one...

I analyzed so many specs when starting out! 1. Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM has amazing stabilization.
- Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM data is fantastic for low light. Saved me heaps tho!

Coming back to this... make sure to be careful with the Seattle mist since Rebels arent weather-sealed. I would suggest looking for a used Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM. The USM motor is super snappy and it handles chromatic aberration way better than the basic glass. TLDR: A used 15-85mm gives you better range and optics while staying under $300.
