im honestly so fed up with my kit lens right now, it keeps missing focus and the images just look so muddy and soft no matter what settings i use. Im shooting portraits of my two dogs mostly outside in the backyard in Chicago and I only have about 150 bucks saved up right now for a replacement before my sisters wedding next month where i promised to take some candid shots. what is the best budget lens for canon 90d that wont break the bank but will actually give me some sharp photos for once...

Kit lenses are garbage tbh, especially for fast-moving dogs. Unfortunately that 150 budget is tight, but you can definitely find something way sharper used.
- Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM
- Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM Grab the nifty fifty if you can stand backing up a bit. It will blow that kit lens away for portraits.
