Im getting so annoyed trying to pick a portrait lens for my R6. I have a wedding to shoot in Chicago in about three weeks and my current setup just isnt cutting it for those tight headshots. I keep reading that the RF 85mm f/1.2 is the holy grail but honestly I dont have three grand to drop on a lens right now. Then people swear by the RF 85mm f/2 macro but Im worried the autofocus is too slow for moving subjects. Is the f/2 actually sharp enough for professional work or should I just look for an EF adapter and go with the old 85mm 1.4?

Forget the expensive glass! Grab the Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM with a basic adapter. It is super fast, totally sharp for weddings, and saves you so much cash!
