need a lens for my 90D by Saturday for a family gig and im stressed. torn between the Canon 50mm 1.8 and the 85mm 1.8.

is the 85mm gonna be way too zoomed in on a crop sensor for indoor stuff? i cant decide which is better...
TL;DR: Get the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM! Pros: amazing field of view for tight rooms. Cons: none! The Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM is fantastic but way too zoomed in indoors.
im super satisfied with how the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM performs on crop bodies. The 1.6x multiplier puts you at an 80mm equivalent, which works well for framing indoors. The 85mm would basically be a 136mm lens... youd literally be hitting the walls. Since the 50mm is so affordable, you could even snag a Canon Speedlite 430EX III-RT and stay under your 450 dollar budget.
