honestly im so fed up with this kit lens it keeps hunting for focus and missing everything. im heading to downtown Chicago in three days and im panicking because I still dont have a fast lens for low light. I have about $450 left... which prime lens is actually best for street on the R8?

ugh i totally feel you. i had so many issues with focus hunting on that kit lens during a trip to portland last year... missed every good shot. i eventually grabbed the Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 Macro IS STM for around 400. unfortunately the motor is noisier than i expected and feels a bit budget, but for the price it is your best bet for those chicago streets.
