Which wide-angle lens should I buy for my Canon EOS R6?

Ive been shooting with the R6 for about two years now and Im finally ready to ditch my old adapted EF glass for something native. I mostly do landscape stuff out here in Oregon but Ive got a gig doing some interior shots for a buddys rental next month and my 24-105 just isnt cutting it for those tight corners. I was looking at the RF 14-35mm f/4 L because of the reach but then I saw the 15-35mm f/2.8 and now Im second guessing if I need that extra stop of light for handholding indoors. Budget is around 1800 bucks so I cant really get both lol. Is the distortion on the 14-35 really as bad as people say or should I just suck it up and go for the faster glass?

Honestly, I picked up the Canon RF 14-35mm f/4 L IS USM last year thinking it would be my holy grail for hiking and real estate, but I ended up pretty disappointed. The size is nice, but the distortion at 14mm is just gnarly. If you shoot RAW, the uncorrected image basically looks like a circle because the vignetting is so heavy. I had issues with the corners looking smeary once the software pulled everything straight. For interiors, thats a nightmare for your vertical lines. I eventually swapped it for the Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8 L IS USM. Even though its heavier and pushes your budget, the optical quality is just way more consistent. You arent fighting the lens as much in post-processing. Since youve got that rental gig next month, having that f/2.8 really helps when you are handheld in a dark hallway. The 14-35 just wasnt as good as expected for L glass.
