Does anyone actually know when the next big Fujifilm sale is gonna hit because I am seriously losing my mind waiting. I've been checking B&H every morning but the X-T5 is still stuck at full price.
I saw a rumor about a spring savings event starting in May but then I read somewhere else that those deals might only be for the older X-S20 or specific lens kits I dont need. I have a trip to Glacier National Park in three weeks and really need to stay under $1700 for the body before I leave. Is there anything coming up this week or am I just stuck paying full price?...
Honestly, checking daily is the move because these drops happen without warning sometimes. Based on the historical data from the last three years, Fuji usually kicks off their global spring promotion right around the second week of May. But here is the thing... the Fujifilm X-T5 Mirrorless Digital Camera Body is still such a massive seller that they might skip it in favor of shifting older stock like the Fujifilm X-S20 Mirrorless Camera Body. If you are heading to Glacier in three weeks, you absolutely need that 40.2MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor for those landscapes! The level of detail you get is just fantastic for large prints. Here are some technical points to consider for your budget:
- The current MSRP is $1,699, so you are literally right on the edge of your $1,700 limit anyway.
- Check the Fujifilm official refurbished store or reputable used sellers for a mint condition unit to save about $150.
- Look into the Fujifilm XF 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR Lens kit deals which sometimes have better margins than the body alone. I have been using the X-T5 since launch and the 7-stop in-body image stabilization is amazing for those dawn hikes when you dont want to carry a tripod. Ngl, if a sale doesnt hit by Friday, just pull the trigger. You dont want to be learning a new menu system the day you get to the park. The IBIS and that weather sealing are total life savers for mountain weather!
