My old RIII finally kicked the bucket and I have a destination wedding in Mexico in exactly twelve days. Total disaster timing. I need to grab a Sony a7 IV like yesterday.
I looked at B&H and Adorama but their bundles just look like the regular body price plus the lens added together... it isnt really a deal. I saw a few threads saying to check for unadvertised kits at local shops, but my local store is tiny and has zero stock. Does anyone know a reputable site that has a legit bundle discount where I actually save money on glass if I buy the body? My budget is capped at 2600 and I'm panicking...
Man, that timing is absolutely brutal. Destination weddings are stressful enough without gear failure right before the flight. Tbh, Sony is super strict with their Minimum Advertised Price (MAP). You wont find many secret bundles online because Sony just doesnt let retailers list lower prices than everyone else. Your best bet to stay under that 2600 cap is probably the Sony Alpha a7 IV with FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Lens kit. Its usually the only way to get glass included while staying near the body price. Its not the sharpest lens for professional wedding work tho, so maybe just grab the Sony Alpha a7 IV Mirrorless Camera Body and use the leftovers for a fast prime. Definitely stick to the big retailers like B&H even if the price is higher... I tried a sketchy discount site once and got sent a grey market model with no warranty. Not worth the risk when you have a plane to catch in 12 days.
