Does anyone know if there are any legit bundle deals for the Fujifilm X-T5 right now?? I'm panicking because my sisters wedding is in three weeks in Chicago and my old Sony just died so I need a replacement fast. I saw a kit on Amazon that comes with a bunch of weird third party filters and a cheap tripod for like $2100 but those usually feel like scams right? Adorama has a lens bundle but its backordered and I cant wait that long.
My budget is strictly $2200 and I really need a decent lens included. Is there anywhere else I should be looking or am I just stuck paying full price for everything separately because everything I find looks sketchy or out of stock...
Just found this thread. To add to the point above: those accessory bundles are basically landfill. Over the years I've seen too many people lose their gear to cheap tripods. Honestly, just grab the Fujifilm X-T5 with XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS Kit. Its usually $2099. I've shot weddings with that lens and the stabilization is a lifesaver. Check B&H or even local Chicago shops if shipping feels too risky right now.
Building on the earlier suggestion, I would suggest being super careful about those massive value kits on Amazon. Half the time they are gray market, meaning Fujifilm USA wont touch them for repairs if something goes wrong. Since you are on a tight timeline for the wedding, you might want to consider checking B&H or even calling some local shops in Chicago like Central Camera. They sometimes have stuff in the back that isnt listed online... If the standard kit is sold out everywhere, just buy the Fujifilm X-T5 Mirrorless Digital Camera Body and hunt for a used Fujifilm XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS lens separately. You can usually find that lens for like $350 on MPB, which keeps you way under that $2200 limit. It is way better than the junk glass in those 50-in-1 bundles anyway. Just make sure to grab a couple extra batteries tho, weddings are brutal on power and you dont want to be stuck with a dead brick in the middle of the vows.
Unfortunately, those bundles use low-transmission glass that ruins resolution. I learned that the hard way during a gig. Legit deals dont really exist lately because stock is a mess, but hang in there.
