Does anyone know where to actually find legit Black Friday camera deals because Im losing my mind looking at these sketchy sites? Im trying to get a new mirrorless setup before I head out on a trip to Iceland in mid-December so Im really pressed for time and stressed about shipping delays too. My absolute max budget is around 1500 bucks including a lens.
Right now Im torn between the Sony a6400 and the Canon R10, leaning toward the Sony because of the lens selection but then I see the Canon bundles and I just dont know if the autofocus is worth the switch or if I should just stick to what I know. Is there a specific store that usually has the best price drops on these models or should I just wait for the official Black Friday countdowns on B&H and Amazon? I feel like every time I refresh the pages the prices change or they go out of stock and its super frustrating. Is it even worth waiting a few more weeks or should I just bite the bullet now before everything good is gone...
Honestly, skip the sketchy sites and stick to B&H or Adorama. I grabbed my Sony Alpha a6400 Mirrorless Camera there last year and it arrived super fast. Don't stress too much about the wait. If you see a price you like, just pull the trigger. Iceland is going to be epic, and the lens selection for the Sony system is seriously unbeatable for travel shots.

Honestly, I had issues with the autofocus tracking on the Sony a6400 Mirrorless 24.2MP APS-C Sensor when shooting in low light conditions, which is pretty much constant in Iceland during December. Unfortunately, the eye-AF just wasn't as responsive as I expected compared to newer sensor tech. If you are really looking for reliability in harsh weather, I personally found the Fujifilm X-S10 Mirrorless 26.1MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS 4 to be way more robust for my workflow. I really wouldn't stress about waiting for the absolute lowest bottom-of-the-barrel price. I waited last year and ended up missing out on stock, which was a massive headache. If you do go the Canon route, the Canon EOS R10 Mirrorless 24.2MP APS-C CMOS Sensor has a way better buffer depth than the older Sony stuff, which is great for wildlife or fast movement. Just watch out for those bundle kits because sometimes the included glass is lower quality than buying the body solo with a prime lens. Check out KEH or MPB if you want to save some cash without dealing with the sketchy sites, they are solid for used gear that still works perfectly.
