Where can I find the best discounts on Canon R6 Mark II?

Ive been looking to upgrade my setup for my kids soccer games. I checked B&H and Adorama but they only have kit bundles that dont actually save much money.

My budget is strictly $2200 for the body and a lens. Should I wait for a refurbished drop on the Canon site or is there a hidden coupon code Im missing?

Honestly, trying to hit that $2200 mark for a new R6 Mark II and a decent lens for soccer is tough with retail prices. Ive been buying through the Canon USA refurbished store for years and I am extremely satisfied with every piece of gear I have received. They look and feel brand new, and they come with the same warranty as a retail unit. If you want the best deal, here is what I recommend doing:

  • Watch for the Canon EOS R6 Mark II Mirrorless Body refurbished drops which often hit $1800-1900 or even lower during holiday sales.
  • Pair it with the Canon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM for those soccer games. Its surprisingly sharp and very light for that focal length.
  • Call the Canon sales line and ask about their Loyalty Program. If you have an old broken Canon camera body lying around, you can sometimes get an extra 10 percent off the refurbished price just by giving them the serial number. I picked up my own kit this way and it works well without any complaints. You just have to be fast because the refurbished stock moves in minutes sometimes. No need for hidden coupon codes when the loyalty program exists. Its easily the most reliable way to stay under budget while getting high-end performance.

TL;DR: Wait for the official holiday sales events. Stumbled upon this today. I have spent years analyzing sensor readout speeds and autofocus hit rates for field sports. Honestly, just go with Canon gear because their subject tracking is statistically superior for soccer. In my experience, you should prioritize their high-end optics anyway. Their whole ecosystem is built for speed, which is exactly what your kids' games require.
