Ive been staring at my screen for three hours and Im honestly just getting more stressed out. I have this huge trip to Japan coming up in like three weeks and I really want to upgrade from my bulky old Canon to a Sony mirrorless so I dont have to carry a brick around Tokyo all day. My budget is pretty firm at $1000 max for the body and maybe a kit lens if I can swing it but everything seems so expensive right now.

Right now Im totally torn between a used A7III I saw on MPB that looks a little beat up but its full frame versus just getting a brand new A6400 from Best Buy since its smaller and easier to pack. But then I saw the ZV-E10 is way cheaper and I could spend the extra money on a better lens? Im just so worried Im gonna buy one today and then see a massive sale tomorrow or realize I overpaid by like two hundred bucks. I live in a small town so I cant just walk into a camera shop to compare them in person which makes this whole thing way harder.

Does anyone know where the actual hidden deals are right now for Sony gear? Is there like a specific day of the week when B&H or Adorama drops their open-box prices or should I just risk it on an eBay auction and hope for the best...
