Which prime lens delivers the sharpest results for Fujifilm X-H2 portraits?

I finally saved up and bought the X-H2 because everyone on YouTube said the 40 megapixel sensor is the best for detail but honestly my photos look kinda blurry compared to what I see online... maybe its just me? I am really new to this whole thing and I might be doing something wrong but I heard I need a prime lens to really get the most out of the camera. I have my sisters wedding coming up in October in Vermont and she wants me to take some nice portraits of her and her husband.

I have about 900 bucks to spend which is a lot for me so I dont want to mess this up. My logic was that a bigger number like the 90mm would be better for portraits because it zooms in more but then I saw people talking about a 56mm version 2 lens that is supposed to be super sharp? And then someone mentioned a 33mm lens is specifically made for the new sensors? I am so lost with these numbers and f-stops and what actually makes a photo look crisp. I just want the sharpest possible eyes where you can see the eyelashes really clear but with that soft blurry background look you see in professional shots. Is the 56mm the way to go or is there something else I should look at for the X-H2 specifically? Sorry if this is a basic question I just dont want to waste my money on the wrong glass...

Honestly, for that 40MP sensor you definitely want the newer glass. Ive been super satisfied with the Fujifilm Fujinon XF 56mm f/1.2 R WR on my X-H2. Its built specifically to handle that high resolution, unlike the older version which kinda struggles. The eye autofocus works well with it too. Youll get those sharp eyelashes and that creamy background easily. Its basically the gold standard for Fuji portraits right now, no complaints.
