Honestly my 24-90 is killing me, its so heavy and corners look mushy on my SL2. Im heading to the Dolomites next month and need something actually sharp edge-to-edge. Budget is $3k.
I was thinking the 35mm APO but maybe Sigma is better? I just dont want to regret it again...

If you want edge-to-edge sharpness on that SL2, that 24-90 just wont cut it anymore. For the Dolomites, the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG DN Art is super crisp and fits your budget perfectly. I use it for landscapes often. While the Leica APO-Summicron-SL 35mm f/2 ASPH is the pinnacle, its way over budget new... the Sigma is much lighter than your zoom, tho the autofocus is slightly slower.
