What is the best all-around zoom lens for Panasonic L-mount?

I saw the 24-105mm f4 mentioned everywhere for the range but then some say the Sigma 28-70mm is way better for travel weight. Im heading to rainy Scotland soon and worried f4 is too slow for the weather but i really love that extra reach...

I was out in the Isle of Skye a couple years back and that horizontal rain is no joke. I actually saw a guys gear just stop working because it wasnt properly sealed. For real peace of mind, you really want the Panasonic Lumix S 24-105mm f/4 Macro O.I.S. because the weather sealing is legendary. Its a total beast! People worry about f4 being slow, but the Dual I.S. on that lens is just fantastic... you can shoot handheld at crazy slow shutter speeds. The Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art is faster, sure, but it is way heavier and lacks that extra reach. Having 24mm on the wide end is so much better for those massive glens too. Safety first when it comes to moisture!

I've been super happy with the Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary. It is basically the best bang for your buck if you want f2.8 without the massive price tag of the pro glass.

Weight is perfect for travel

Very sharp for the cost

Saves you a lot of money Works well for me and honestly, the lighter weight makes me actually want to carry it everywhere.
