so i finally jumped into the l-mount system with an s5ii and i really need a dedicated portrait lens because the kit zoom just isnt cutting it for that shallow depth of field look. i have a wedding coming up for my cousin in about six weeks so i need to get something soon to practice with before the big day.
im currently stuck between these three options:
- sigma 85mm f1.4 dg dn art
- panasonic lumix s 85mm f1.8
- sigma 105mm f1.4 (maybe too heavy??)
im leaning towards the sigma 85mm because everyone says the bokeh is incredible but honestly im worried about the weight since i do a lot of handheld shooting and i dont want my wrist to die after an hour. the lumix 85mm is way cheaper and lighter which is nice for my budget but will i regret not having that f1.4 glow? my budget is capped at like $1200 so i cant go crazy with leica apo glass or anything like that right now. i mainly shoot outdoor portraits in natural light so autofocus speed is somewhat important but not as much as the overall rendering and skin tones. which one would you guys pick for a long day of shooting in a park or wedding venue?
