Honestly, I had issues with the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR when I used it on my Z5 last summer. It was not as good as expected in the corners, and that aperture gets really narrow way too fast. Kinda frustrating when youre trying to get a nice portrait at 70mm and you're already at f/6.3... unfortunately just didnt live up to the hype for me. I switched over to the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S and it is a world of difference. Compared it to the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 and while the Tamron is faster, the Nikon has much better build quality for rugged travel. The S-line lenses just handle colors so much better than the third-party glass tho in my experience.

Good luck finding one that doesnt cost an arm and a leg while still giving you mediocre corners or a tiny aperture. It drives me crazy that we are basically forced to choose between carrying a heavy brick or settling for something that feels like cheap plastic. Travel photography should be fun but instead we are all just sitting here debating which overpriced compromise is the least annoying... its just a constant struggle tbh. It feels like you can never actually win with these setups anymore.
