I finally did it and bought a Nikon Z5 after saving up for like a whole year! I am super pumped but honestly I am so lost looking at all these lenses online. It is like a different language with all the numbers and letters. My sister is getting married in Hawaii in three weeks and I really want to take some cool photos but I can only afford one lens right now. I have maybe 700 or 800 dollars left in my budget?
I want something that can do everything like take photos of her at the altar but also maybe some of the beach and mountains without me having to carry a huge bag of stuff around. I keep seeing things about primes vs zooms and I have no clue what the difference is or why one is better than the other. Is there just one lens that is like the jack of all trades for this camera? I dont want to keep swapping things out and getting dust in the camera since I heard that is bad. Sorry if this is a total noob question I just dont want to waste my money on something that wont work for everything. What do you guys think is the best one to start with?
Unfortunately, kit lenses were disappointing for me. Try Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR.
- Huge zoom range
- Super portable It covers landscapes and portraits, tho low light performance isnt great.
