I finally pulled the trigger on a used D850 for a big wedding Im shooting in Seattle this October but now Im literally panicking about lenses. I only have about 850 bucks left in the budget after buying the body and I keep reading that this sensor is so high res that it just destroys mediocre glass and shows every flaw. I was looking at the Nikon 50mm 1.8G because its a classic but then I saw people saying the Sigma 35mm Art is the only way to go for this sensor even though its way heavier and might have autofocus problems? I dont want to miss shots because of the lens hunting during the ceremony. Should I just stick with Nikon or is the Sigma actually worth the risk for the 45 megapixels? Which prime is actually going to hold up on this thing?
> Should I just stick with Nikon or is the Sigma actually worth the risk for the 45 megapixels? Honestly, the Sigma is worth the weight. I used the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Nikon F-Mount for years and the sharpness is way better than the 1.8G. If youre worried about focus, grab a Sigma USB Dock for Nikon to calibrate it. Its killer for weddings.
