To add to the point above: I always lean towards native Sony glass because I am a stickler for reliability and safety. Third-party stuff like Sigma or Tamron is cool and definitely cheaper, but native lenses give you that perfect autofocus and the amazing breathing compensation feature that keeps your framing steady during focus pulls. It is a total lifesaver for professional-looking video! If you want the ultimate safe bet that feels like a real cinema tool, the Sony E PZ 18-110mm f/4 G OSS is absolutely incredible. It is pricey but the build quality is insane and it is so reliable! For something more budget-friendly and fun on a gimbal, I am obsessed with the Sony E 10-20mm f/4 PZ G. Since it is a power zoom, it does not shift weight when you zoom in, which is fantastic for keeping your gimbal balanced. Native glass just feels so much more locked in for serious work!

@sarah I've been using a Sirui 50mm f/1.8 anamorphic lens for about 6 months now, and I'm really impressed with the image quality. The build is solid, and the anamorphic flares are beautiful. For the price, it's an excellent value if you want to experiment with anamorphic shooting. Just keep in mind that as a relatively new player in the lens market, Sirui doesn't have the extensive track record of some other brands.
