Ive been shooting with primes for years on my A7RIV and honestly Im starting to panic because I booked this last minute trip to the Dolomites next week and realized I cannot be swapping lenses in that dust and wind. I need a versatile zoom that wont make me regret leaving the glass at home but the choice paralysis is hitting hard. I was set on the 24-70 GM II but the price is eye-watering and then I saw the Tamron 35-150 and now Im worried itll be way too heavy for 10-mile hikes. Budget is around 1800-2000 max. Do I go for the range or the weight? What are you guys actually using on high-res bodies for travel when you only get one lens?
Definitely grab the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art! Its fantastic and literally a fraction of the GM price tho.
- Amazing sharp glass
- Your wallet wont cry!
