Official: Sigma’s 85mm F1.2 DG | Art is here for Sony E-mount and L-Mount. US price is $1,599. Dealers get it October 6, 2026. You can Pre-order at B&H Photo Video.
That closes the F1.2 Art trio with the 35mm F1.2 DG II and 50mm F1.2 DG DN. We had the February development announcement / B&H listing; this is the launch.
Sigma’s spec sheet:
- 17 elements in 12 groups, including two SLD elements plus asphericals
- F1.2–F16, 13-blade rounded diaphragm
- 84cm minimum focus, 1:8.9 magnification — not a close-focus 85
- 82mm filters
- L-Mount 87.2 × 119.7mm; Sony E 87.2 × 121.7mm
- 905g on both mounts. Sigma calls it the smallest/lightest AF 85mm F1.2 for full-frame mirrorless as of September 2026
- Dual HLA autofocus, reduced focus breathing
- Aperture ring with click on/off and A lock, two AFL buttons, AF/MF switch
- Dust/splash-resistant structure, water- and oil-repellent front coating
- Edition A026. Hood LH878-08 in the box
No optical stabilizer on the sheet. No surprise at F1.2 and 905g — this is the faster, heavier alternative to Sigma’s own 85mm F1.4 DG DN Art (~630g), and Sony still has no 85mm f/1.2 of its own.
Same-day zoom: 20-60mm F2.8-4 DG Contemporary, $849.
