Sony has just officially announced the new Sony FE 12-24mm F2.8 GM lens. It is part of the company’s high-end ‘G Master’ series for full-frame mirrorless camras, featuring dust and moisture-sealed , close to two pounds (847g / 1.9lb to be precise), three XA Extreme Aspheric elements (including the largest that Sony’s ever made), two Super ED and three ED elements, as well as one aspherical lens element, Nano AR Coating II along with a fluorine coating. This new lens costs $2,998, first available for pre-order at B&H/ Adorama.
