Sigma’s new 28-70mm F2.8 is 16.3mm shorter and 80g lighter than the Tamron 28-75mm F2.8, making it considerably lighter and more compact. The shortest shooting distance is 1 cm shorter than Tamron at the telephoto end, but the maximum shooting magnification seems to be slightly lower for Sigma.
