Sigma has just officially announced the new Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DC DN Contemporary Lens. It offers a high-quality, versatile, extremely compact option for crop-sensor mirrorless camera users. Less than 3 inches (74.5mm) long and weighing just over 10 ounces (290g), it is the smallest and lightest F2.8 standard zoom for crop-sensor mirrorless cameras (as of October 2021).

Along with the new Sigma 24mm F2 DG DN Contemporary Lens (B&H/ Adorama), Sigma also announced the new Sigma 90mm F2.8 DG DN Contemporary lens. It is a compact, premium prime lens for Sony FE and Leica L mounts. It has a total of 11 elements, including one aspherical and five SLD elements. A stepping motor is used to drive the focus unit on the 90mm.The minimum focus distance on this lens is 0.5m (19.7″), with a max magnification of 0.2x. The lens includes both pinch-type and magnetic caps.
Sigma has just officially announced the new Sigma 24mm F2 DG DN Contemporary Lens for Sony FE and Leica L mount. It has 13 elements in 11 groups, including two aspherical, one FLD (‘F low dispersion’) and two SLD (‘special low dispersion’) elements. A ‘Super Multi-layer’ coating reduces flare and ghosting. The lens’ focus group is quietly driven by a stepping motor. The minimum focus distance on the 24mm is 0.25m (9.7″), while the maximum magnification comes in at 0.15x. The lens comes bundled with a metal hood, and both pinch-type and magnetic lens caps.
