Five Canon RF Lenses to be Announced on October 30th?

Five new Canon RF lenses are coming! According to CR, Canon will announce five new lenses on October 30th, 2024.

We are excited to share that three new lenses are on the horizon, set to enhance your photography experience:

  • Canon RF 24mm f/1.4L VCM
  • Canon RF 50mm f/1.4L VCM
  • Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Z

Moreover, we have confirmed that two additional lenses will be launched on the same day. One of them is likely to be the Canon RF-S 7.8mm f/4 STM Dual Lens. This innovative lens is designed specifically for capturing immersive spatial video and will be compatible with the Apple Vision Pro when paired with Canon EOS R7, offering exciting possibilities for content creators.

As for the fifth lens, details are still somewhat unclear. However, there’s strong speculation that it could be a significant white zoom lens. Insights into its specifications have varied, leading me to believe it may be a variant of the eagerly anticipated RF 200-500mm f/4L IS USM. To maintain clarity, I won’t disclose any conflicting information at this time.

The anticipation for these releases is building, and we are committed to keeping you informed. The wait for these exciting innovations won’t be long, and we anticipate providing more updates shortly. As we get closer to the launch date, further details will emerge, so be sure to stay tuned for our upcoming announcements. Enhanced versatility and quality in photography are just around the corner, and we can’t wait for you to experience what these new lenses have to offer!
