Canon EF 35mm F1.4L II USM lens was just announced last week. According to the latest rumors from CR2, the next L lens from Canon will be a fast zoom (f/2.8):Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III, not the long rumored Canon EF 15-35mm f/2.8L lens.
The announcement date will be in next several months after Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L II USM lens in stock and shipping. We will also see a new camera or two and some new non-L lenses.
