So I finally picked up an R10 and now Im stuck trying to figure out which telephoto to grab for my kids soccer games this spring. Budget is a big deal right now since I spent most of it on the body so I'm looking at these options:
- Canon RF-S 55-210mm (really cheap and light but is the reach enough?)
- Canon RF 100-400mm (heard great things but its like $650 new, maybe I can find it used?)
- Adapting an old EF 70-300mm II
Im kinda leaning towards the 100-400 because everyone says the image quality is way better but the price difference is huge for a hobbyist. Is it actually worth the extra 300 bucks just for sideline shots? I gotta buy something by next Friday before the first game...

I'm very satisfied with the Canon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM. It works well for soccer games and that extra reach is honestly worth the higher price over the 55-210mm.
