Has anyone noticed any decent price drops on Nikon Z6 II bundles over the last week or two? I have been refreshing the tabs on my browser like a crazy person trying to see if the retailers are finally gonna slash the prices now that the Z6 III has been out for a bit. My old D7500 is basically holding on by a thread - the shutter button is sticking and it is just time to move to mirrorless honestly. I do a ton of hiking around the PNW and really want that full frame sensor for the low light stuff in the forests here but man the prices are stubborn.
I did a bit of digging and saw that B&H dropped the body-only price by like a hundred bucks recently but the bundles with the 24-70mm f/4 lens still seem to be sitting right around $2,100 or so which feels like way too much for a camera that is technically last gen now. Then I saw some people on a couple of rumors sites saying that Nikon is about to do a big seasonal sale but then other people were saying that the Z6 II stock is actually getting low so they might not even bother discounting it further and will just let it sell out at the current price. It is super confusing because some shops like Adorama have these refurbished bundles for way less but I have never bought refurbished before and I am kinda scared I will get a dud right before my big trip to Olympic National Park next month.
My budget is pretty firm at $1,800 for the kit and I really need to get it in the next three weeks so I can actually learn how to use the AF system before I am standing in front of a waterfall or something. Do you guys think I should just bite the bullet now or is there some secret discount code or a specific site that usually has better prices for Nikon gear? I looked at KEH too but their excellent condition stuff is almost the price of a new one. Just feels like I am missing something obvious...
