so i am trying to get my first real camera before a trip to tokyo in three weeks but honestly i have no idea what i am doing and everything is so confusing. i really want the fujifilm x-t5 because the photos look so cool but every time i look online it is just the camera body by itself or like a million different lenses and i am scared i will buy the wrong thing. my budget is about $2200 for everything and i am really stressed i wont find a deal in time. does anyone know if there are any current bundles that actually come with a good starter lens so i dont have to figure it out piece by piece? i am so worried i will mess this up...
Tokyo is gonna be absolutely incredible for photography. I picked up the X-T5 last year and honestly I have been so happy with it, zero complaints. Don't stress too much because Fuji actually puts together really solid bundles that arent just cheap junk. You can usually find two main kits that fit your budget perfectly.
- Fujifilm X-T5 Mirrorless Camera with XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS Lens is my top pick for travel. It is super compact and the glass is surprisingly sharp for a kit lens.
- Fujifilm X-T5 Mirrorless Camera with XF 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR Lens gives you a bit more zoom range for those tight Tokyo streets, plus it is weather sealed. Both of these should land right around $2,100 which leaves you a little extra for some fast SD cards like a SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-II Card. I have used both lenses and they work well, but the 18-55mm is just so light for walking all day. You are gonna have a blast with the film sims...
