Ive been rocking the A7III for years now and honestly it has been a total workhorse but the AF is starting to feel a bit sluggish lately especially when I'm shooting weddings and the eye tracking misses just enough to make me sweat. Finally decided it is time to grab the A7 IV for that 33MP sensor and the improved flip screen since I am doing way more hybrid video work these days but man the prices just arent budging.
I checked B&H and Adorama and even hit up some local shops here in Jersey but everyone seems stuck at the full $2499 retail price which is a tough pill to swallow right now. I was really hoping for some kind of spring promo or maybe a trade-in bonus but everything seems totally bone dry lately. I remember seeing it drop a few hundred bucks a while back but I guess I missed the boat on that one.
My budget is pretty much capped at like $2100 maybe $2200 tops because I still need to pick up some faster V90 cards to handle the 10-bit recording properly without the buffer getting choked up. Does anyone know if there is a site with a hidden coupon or maybe an educational discount that actually works for the body alone right now?

^ This. Also, I totally get the AF stress! I was super cautious and only bought from authorized shops to keep the warranty safe, but I love it! It is seriously amazing.

- Grab the Lexar Professional 2000x 128GB SDXC UHS-II cards, they are fantastic and cheaper than the Sony ones. Ngl, the flip screen is a total lifesaver for video work!

Saving a few bucks isnt worth losing a valid warranty, especially for pro wedding work. Is your 2200 budget strictly for the camera body, or are you trying to fit those v90 cards into that same total? Just trying to see how much wiggle room you actually have before you pull the trigger.
