Looking for current Fujifilm X-T5 sales, any recommendations?

Ive been shooting with my old Sony a6000 for like seven years now and it is finally starting to give up on me. The shutter feels laggy and Im just tired of the menus so I really want to switch over to Fuji before my trip to Japan in three weeks. Ive settled on the X-T5 because of the dials and that 40mp sensor but man the price is staying so high.

Im torn between just biting the bullet and buying it new from B&H where its full price but I get the warranty, or trying to snag one off MPB or KEH used to save maybe 200 bucks. Theres also this local shop here in Seattle that has a bundle deal with the 18-55mm kit lens for around $2100 but thats pushing my $1800 hard budget a bit too much. Do you guys think there are gonna be any actual sales soon or should I just go for the used one?

I saw some rumors about a fall sale but nothing is showing up on Adorama or anything yet. Is it worth the risk of buying used just to save a little for extra lenses or is the new warranty basically a must-have for the X-T5? Im kinda stressed because of the timeline...

Unfortunately, the deals on the Fujifilm X-T5 Mirrorless Camera Body have been pretty disappointing lately. I tried going the used route for a big trip last year and ended up with a sensor that had a stuck pixel right in the middle... totally not as good as expected for the excellent rating it had. Honestly, saving 200 bucks feels like a huge risk when youre heading to Japan in three weeks. If something goes wrong with a used unit while youre over there, youre basically stuck without a backup. I actually disagree with the idea of going used here, especially with your tight timeline. I would grab it new from a reputable place just for that peace of mind. If the $1800 is too tight with a lens, maybe skip the bundle and look for a cheaper used lens like the Fujifilm XF 18-55mm f2.8-4 R LM OIS separately. The warranty on the body is worth more than the small savings imo, especially since Fuji service can be kinda slow if you dont have that official paperwork. Safe travels tho!
