Where can I find the cheapest Sony A7IV body right now? I've been shooting on the A7III for years and know my way around E-mount glass but I finally need that 10-bit video for a wedding gig in Chicago next month. My budget is strictly $2k max so I'm hunting for a legit site that isnt just gray market stuff...

Man, I feel you on the 10-bit struggle. I remember when I first switched from my old A7III for a high-stakes commercial shoot... that 8-bit banding in the sky drove me nuts. If youre looking to keep it under 2k without hitting the sketchy gray market sites, you gotta look at the used market or open-box deals. Over the years, I've found that sites like MPB or KEH are basically the gold standard for this. I actually picked up my backup Sony Alpha 7 IV 33MP Mirrorless Camera Body from MPB for around $1,900 last summer. It had a shutter count of like 5k and looked brand new. Since you have that wedding in Chicago next month, you dont wanna gamble on shipping from overseas anyway. Another trick I use is checking the B&H used section daily. They rate their gear super strictly. If you see something rated 9 or 9+, it's usually flawless. If you buy new, the Sony Alpha 7 IV Mirrorless Camera Body usually hovers around $2,400, but they occasionally do those trade-in bonuses that can shave off a few hundred bucks. If you can find one used, youll definitely stay under budget. Just make sure you get some fast V60 cards like the Sony TOUGH-M Series 128GB SDXC UHS-II because that 10-bit 4:2:2 will eat storage way faster than your A7III ever did... honestly caught me off guard the first time. It is a beast for video though, night and day difference from the old III.
