So I finally pulled the trigger on the X-T5 and Im so hyped to take it to Tokyo next month! But now Im stuck on which prime to keep on it for the whole trip. I really want a one and done lens for street stuff and all the food Im gonna eat lol.

My logic was to go for the XF 23mm f2 because its so small and weather sealed which is great for walking around all day but then I started reading about how the 40mp sensor really needs the newer glass to shine. So then I looked at the XF 33mm f1.4... it looks incredible but its way more expensive and heavier. Ive got about $900 saved up for this so I could technically swing the 33mm if I find a deal but Im worried it might be too tight for narrow alleyways? Or should I just get the 27mm pancake and call it a day? Im worried the f2.8 wont be enough for dim izakayas at night though.

Basically torn between the 23mm f2 for portability and the 33mm f1.4 for that pure image quality. Does the 33mm feel too bulky on the T5 for 10+ miles of walking? I want my photos to look sharp but I dont want a neck ache by day three. Which one is the better daily driver for this sensor?

Honestly, stick with anything from the Fujifilm lineup. Ive been so satisfied with how their modern glass handles the 40mp sensor, the resolving power is great. You really cant go wrong.
